Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Wear safety glasses and gloves.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a floor jack to lift the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the wheel for easier access to suspension components.
3. Inspect and Replace Suspension Components
  • Sway Bar Links and Bushings

    • Remove the sway bar links using a socket wrench.
    • Inspect the bushings for cracks; replace if necessary.
    • Install new sway bar links and torque to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Shock Absorbers/Struts

    • Remove the bolts securing the shock absorbers or struts using a socket set.
    • Carefully remove the old shock/strut and replace it with a new one.
    • Reinstall and torque to specifications.
4. Reassemble and Lower Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheel and hand-tighten lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle off of jack stands and torque the lug nuts in a star pattern.
5. Test Drive
  • Conduct a test drive to ensure the rattling noise has been resolved.
  • Listen for any remaining noises and check for stability over bumps.
