Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the engine is cool before beginning.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shocks.

Tools Required:

  • Socket set (with 10mm and 14mm sockets)
  • Torque wrench
  • Spark plug socket
  • Feeler gauge
  • Ratchet and extensions
  • Anti-seize compound (optional)
2. Access Spark Plugs
  • Remove the engine cover (if applicable) using a socket or wrench to access the spark plug wells.
  • Locate the ignition coils on each cylinder.
3. Remove Ignition Coils
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from each ignition coil by pressing the release tab and pulling it out.
  • Remove the bolts securing the ignition coils using a socket.
  • Gently pull out each ignition coil from the spark plug well.
4. Remove Old Spark Plugs
  • Using a spark plug socket, carefully unscrew each spark plug from the cylinder head.
  • Inspect each spark plug for wear or damage before disposal.
5. Install New Spark Plugs
  • Check the gap on the new spark plugs using a feeler gauge and adjust as necessary to meet the manufacturer’s specifications (typically around 0.044 inches for Honda).
  • Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound on the threads of the new spark plugs (optional).
  • Hand-tighten the new spark plugs into the cylinder head, then torque them to the manufacturer's specifications (usually around 13 lb-ft).
6. Reinstall Ignition Coils
  • Reinsert the ignition coils back into their respective spark plug wells.
  • Secure each ignition coil with its bolt and reconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Reassemble and Test
  • Reattach the engine cover (if removed).
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Start the engine and check for smooth operation and any warning lights.
