Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Tire pressure gauge, air compressor (if inflating tires), valve cap remover (if needed)
  • Ensure the vehicle has been stationary for at least 3 hours for accurate measurements.
2. Remove Valve Caps
  • Unscrew and remove the valve cap from each tire.
  • Place the caps in a secure location to avoid losing them.
3. Measure Tire Pressure
  • Press the tire pressure gauge onto the tire valve firmly and quickly to get a reading.
  • Record the pressure displayed on the gauge.
4. Compare and Adjust Pressure
  • Compare the tire pressure readings with the recommended values (found on the driver's side door jamb).
  • If the pressure is too low, use an air compressor to inflate the tire to the recommended level.
  • If the pressure is too high, release some air until the correct pressure is reached.
5. Replace Valve Caps
  • After adjusting the pressure, securely replace the valve caps on each tire.
