Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid electrical shorts.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before starting work.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft brush, microfiber cloth.
  • Remove the air intake hose connected to the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner onto a cloth and wipe the internal surfaces of the throttle body.
  • Use a soft brush to dislodge any carbon buildup.
  • Ensure the throttle plate moves freely and is not sticking.
  • Reassemble the air intake hose securely.
3. Inspect and Clean the MAF Sensor
  • Tools Required: MAF sensor cleaner.
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor wiring harness.
  • Remove the MAF sensor from the intake duct.
  • Spray MAF sensor cleaner onto the sensing elements, being careful not to touch them.
  • Allow the sensor to dry completely before reinstalling.
  • Reconnect the MAF sensor and wiring harness.
4. Check and Replace the IAT Sensor (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set.
  • Locate the IAT sensor on the intake manifold or air intake duct.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the sensor.
  • Inspect the sensor for damage or corrosion.
  • If faulty, replace it with a new IAT sensor.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness and ensure it is secure.
5. Inspect Fuel System
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge and appropriate fittings.
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
  • Turn the ignition key to the "On" position (do not start) and check the fuel pressure reading.
  • Compare with the manufacturer’s specifications; if low, investigate fuel pump or filter issues.
  • If the fuel filter is clogged, replace it according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
