Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver or a coin, and a new CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure you are working in a clean, well-lit area.
  • Have a soft cloth or mat to place the key fob on to avoid scratches.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver or coin to gently pry open the key fob at the seam.
  • Start at one end and work your way around the fob to avoid damaging the plastic.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Locate the old battery inside the key fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  • Carefully remove the old battery by lifting it out with your fingers or the screwdriver.
4. Insert the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the key fob in the same orientation as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Ensure the battery sits snugly in its compartment.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until you hear a click, indicating that they are securely closed.
  • Check for any gaps to ensure proper sealing.
