1. Preparation

  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, and new key fob battery (typically CR2032).
  • Parts Required: New key fob battery.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob:
    • Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob.
    • Be cautious to avoid damaging the plastic casing.
  2. Remove the Old Battery:
    • Identify the battery compartment and note the orientation of the old battery.
    • Carefully remove the old battery using the small Phillips screwdriver if necessary.
  3. Insert the New Battery:
    • Place the new battery in the compartment, ensuring it is oriented the same way as the old one (positive side facing up).
  4. Reassemble the Key Fob:
    • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them back together until securely closed.
