Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
  • Wear safety goggles and gloves.
2. Locate the Leak
  • Inspect the brake fluid reservoir:
    • Remove the cap and check for any visible cracks.
    • Replace if damaged.
  • Examine brake lines and hoses:
    • Look for any frayed or corroded sections.
    • If damaged, proceed to replace the affected line or hose.
3. Repair Brake Components
  • Brake Calipers:

    • If leaks are found around the calipers:
      1. Remove the wheel using a socket set.
      2. Unbolt the caliper and hang it using a wire (do not let it hang by the brake line).
      3. Replace the seals or the entire caliper if necessary.
  • Master Cylinder:

    • If leaking, replace the master cylinder:
      1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
      2. Remove the brake fluid lines from the master cylinder.
      3. Unbolt the master cylinder from the brake booster.
      4. Install the new master cylinder and reattach the lines.
4. Refill and Bleed Brake System
  • Refill the brake fluid reservoir with manufacturer-recommended brake fluid.
  • Bleed the brake lines:
    1. Start at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder.
    2. Use a brake bleeder kit to remove air bubbles.
    3. Repeat for each wheel until fluid flows without bubbles.
5. Final Inspection
  • Recheck all connections for leaks after the repair.
  • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle.
  • Test the brake pedal for firmness before driving.
