Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, new CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure you have a clean workspace to avoid losing small parts.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing at the seam.
  • Carefully separate the two halves of the fob without damaging the internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old CR2032 battery from its holder, noting the orientation (+ and - sides).
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation as the old one.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they snap back into place.
  • Ensure all buttons are functional and the casing is securely closed.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit inside the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (not starting the engine).
  • Turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it.
  • Press the "Lock" button on the key fob within 5 seconds.
  • This may require following specific programming steps from the owner's manual; consult for details.
