Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver or coin, and a new battery (CR-V type).
  • Ensure you are in a clean, well-lit area to avoid losing any small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the notch on the side of the key fob.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver or coin to gently pry open the key fob at the notch, taking care not to damage the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Carefully separate the two halves of the key fob.
  • Take note of the battery orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Remove the old battery from its compartment, disposing of it properly.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new battery (CR-V type) into the compartment, ensuring it is oriented correctly with the positive (+) side facing the proper direction.
  • Reassemble the two halves of the key fob securely.
5. Test the Key Fob
  • Press the buttons on the key fob to ensure it is working correctly.
  • If the LED indicator illuminates and the doors lock/unlock, the battery replacement was successful.
