Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues during repair.
2. Inspect and Replace CV Joints (if faulty)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, jack and jack stands, torque wrench, pry bar.
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
    2. Remove the wheel on the side where the clicking noise is occurring.
    3. Inspect the CV boot for tears or leaks; replace if damaged.
    4. If the CV joint is found to be defective, remove the axle nut using a socket.
    5. Disconnect the lower control arm from the steering knuckle using a socket and pry bar if necessary.
    6. Remove the CV axle from the transmission by pulling it straight out.
    7. Install the new CV axle by sliding it into the transmission and securing it with the axle nut.
    8. Reattach the lower control arm and wheel, then lower the vehicle.
3. Check and Top Off Power Steering Fluid
  • Tools Required: Funnel.
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Locate the power steering fluid reservoir.
    2. Check the fluid level against the “MIN” and “MAX” markings.
    3. If low, add the recommended power steering fluid type until it reaches the correct level.
