Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver, new battery (CR2032 or equivalent)
  • Ensure you are working in a clean, well-lit area.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam between the two halves of the key fob.
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob at the seam. Start at one corner and work your way around to avoid damage.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once open, locate the battery holder within the fob.
  • Carefully note the orientation of the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Use the screwdriver to gently lift and remove the old battery from its compartment.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new battery into the compartment, ensuring the correct orientation (positive side facing up).
  • Press down gently until it clicks into place securely.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob.
  • Press the halves together firmly until they snap back into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps along the seam to confirm it is securely closed.
