Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts:
    • New battery for the key fob (if needed)
    • Owner's manual for reference
  • Ensure you are inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery (if applicable)
  • Open the key fob using a small flathead screwdriver.
  • Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one, ensuring the positive side is facing the correct direction.
  • Snap the key fob back together securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob
  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  2. Press and hold the "Lock" button on the key fob for about 5 seconds.
  3. While holding the "Lock" button, turn the ignition to the "OFF" position and then back to "ON" position again.
  4. Release the "Lock" button and press it again within 10 seconds.
  5. The locks should cycle to indicate successful programming. If they do not, repeat the process from step 1.
4. Test the Key Fob
  • Exit the vehicle and test the key fob functions: lock/unlock the doors and start the engine.
