Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a flathead screwdriver (for battery replacement if needed), and ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface with all doors closed.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery (if needed)
  1. Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  3. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reset the Key Fob
  1. Sit in the driver's seat with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (not starting the engine).
  3. Press and hold the "LOCK" button on the key fob for about 1 second.
  4. Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position and remove the key.
  5. Test the key fob by pressing the "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" buttons to confirm functionality.
