Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Clean the throttle body using throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive materials.
  • Reattach the air intake duct and secure it properly.
3. Replace Fuel Filter
  • Locate the fuel filter in the fuel line.
  • Depressurize the fuel system by removing the fuel pump relay and running the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using a line wrench; be cautious of fuel spillage.
  • Replace the fuel filter with a new one, ensuring the flow direction matches the arrow on the filter.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and reinstall the fuel pump relay.
4. Replace Spark Plugs
  • Remove the ignition coils by unbolting them and disconnecting the wiring harness.
  • Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plugs.
  • Check the gap on the new spark plugs and adjust as necessary based on manufacturer specs.
  • Install new spark plugs and reattach the ignition coils.
5. Transmission Fluid Change (if applicable)
  • Raise the vehicle using jack stands and ensure it is secure.
  • Remove the transmission drain plug and drain the old fluid into a pan.
  • Replace the drain plug and refill with new transmission fluid through the dipstick tube, using a funnel.
  • Check the fluid level and add more if necessary until it reaches the appropriate level.
