Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to ensure safety.
2. Replace Air Filter
  • Tools Required: Screwdriver or socket set.
  • Remove the air filter housing cover by unscrewing or unclipping it.
  • Take out the old air filter and replace it with a new one, ensuring it fits snugly.
  • Reattach the air filter housing cover securely.
3. Fuel Pressure Check
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge.
  • Locate the fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail.
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge and turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine.
  • Check the pressure reading against the specifications in the service manual. If it’s low, consider replacing the fuel pump or fuel filter.
4. Inspect and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench.
  • Remove the ignition coil(s) by unscrewing them from the cylinder head.
  • Remove the spark plugs using a socket wrench.
  • Inspect the spark plugs for wear; replace them with new ones if they are fouled or worn.
  • Torque the new spark plugs to the manufacturer’s specifications and reattach the ignition coils.
5. Clean Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft cloth, small brush.
  • Remove the intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner onto a soft cloth and clean the throttle body surface, including the throttle plate.
  • Ensure no debris falls into the intake manifold during cleaning and reattach the intake duct.
