1. Prepare for Battery Replacement
  • Gather necessary tools: small flat-head screwdriver, CR2032 battery (as per key fob specifications).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and turned off.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing along the seam.
  • Be careful not to damage the casing or internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from its compartment, noting its orientation.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side (+) aligns correctly.
  • Close the key fob casing securely until it clicks back into place.
4. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Press the lock button on the key fob for about 5 seconds.
  • Turn the ignition to "OFF" and remove the key to complete the programming process.
