Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Remove Fuel Injectors
  1. Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
  2. Disconnect the fuel lines using a line wrench. Have a rag to catch any spilled fuel.
  3. Remove the engine cover if applicable.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.
  5. Unbolt the fuel rail using a socket set and carefully pull the fuel rail with the injectors attached.
3. Inspect and Replace Fuel Injectors
  1. Inspect each injector for carbon buildup and physical damage.
  2. If necessary, remove the old injectors by pulling them out of the fuel rail.
  3. Lubricate the new injector O-rings with clean engine oil.
  4. Install the new injectors into the fuel rail until they seat properly.
  5. Reattach the fuel rail to the intake manifold and secure it with bolts to the manufacturer’s torque specifications.
4. Reconnect Components
  1. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the injectors.
  2. Reattach the fuel lines and ensure they are secure.
  3. Reinstall the engine cover if it was removed.
  4. Reinsert the fuel pump fuse.
5. Final Checks
  1. Reconnect the battery.
  2. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position to prime the fuel system before starting the engine.
