Solution
1. Preparation
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Inspect and Replace Engine and Transmission Mounts
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, pry bar
  • Remove any covers obstructing access to the engine and transmission mounts.
  • Use a pry bar to relieve tension on the mounts.
  • Remove the bolts securing the mounts using a socket set.
  • Inspect the mounts for cracks or deterioration. Replace with new mounts if necessary.
  • Torque the new mounts to the manufacturer's specifications.
3. Check and Replace Drive Belt
  • Tools Required: Socket set, belt tensioner tool
  • Locate the drive belt and inspect for any signs of wear, fraying, or misalignment.
  • If damaged, use a belt tensioner tool to release tension and remove the old belt.
  • Install the new belt following the correct routing diagram.
  • Ensure proper tension is applied to the new belt.
4. Inspect and Replace Wheel Bearings
  • Tools Required: Jack, jack stands, socket set, bearing puller
  • Lift the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
  • Remove the wheel to access the hub assembly.
  • Check for play by gripping the wheel and moving it side to side.
  • If play is present, remove the hub assembly and use a bearing puller to extract the old bearings.
  • Install new bearings and reassemble the hub. Torque the hub nut to the manufacturer's specifications.
5. Inspect and Replace CV Joints
  • Tools Required: Socket set, CV joint puller, grease
  • Inspect CV joints for torn boots or grease leakage.
  • If damaged, remove the axle by disconnecting it from the wheel hub and transmission.
  • Use a CV joint puller to extract the old CV joint.
  • Install the new CV joint with appropriate grease and reassemble the axle. Torque the connections to specifications.
