Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, wheel chocks, jack stands.
  • Safety Warnings: Disconnect the battery before starting work on the ABS system.
2. Remove Wheel
  1. Safely lift the front of the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  2. Remove the left front wheel by loosening the lug nuts with a socket set and then taking off the wheel.
3. Inspect and Replace Wheel Speed Sensor
  1. Locate the left front wheel speed sensor mounted near the brake rotor.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wheel speed sensor by pressing on the release tab and pulling it apart.
  3. Remove the sensor from its mounting position (generally secured with a bolt or clip).
  4. Install the new wheel speed sensor by reversing the removal steps:
    • Ensure it is seated correctly in its mounting position.
    • Reconnect the electrical connector firmly.
4. Reassemble and Test
  1. Reinstall the left front wheel and secure it with the lug nuts, tightening them to the manufacturer's torque specifications.
  2. Lower the vehicle from the jack stands and reconnect the battery.
  3. Clear the C0030 code using the OBD-II scanner and perform a test drive to monitor for any warning lights or symptoms.
