Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts:
    • Jack and jack stands
    • Socket set
    • Torque wrench
    • Pry bar
    • Replacement CV joint (if necessary)
    • Replacement control arm bushings (if necessary)
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle.
  • Securely place jack stands under the vehicle for safety.
3. Remove the Wheel
  • Use a socket set to remove the lug nuts and take off the front wheel for access to suspension components.
4. Inspect and Replace Components

A. CV Joint and Boot

  • Check the CV joint for play and the boot for any tears.
  • If damaged, remove the axle nut with a socket set and separate the CV joint from the hub assembly.
  • Replace the CV joint and boot if necessary.

B. Control Arm and Bushings

  • Inspect the control arm for cracks. If damaged, unbolt the control arm from the chassis and the ball joint.
  • Replace control arm bushings if degraded. Use a pry bar to push out old bushings and press in new ones.
5. Reassemble
  • Reattach all components securely, ensuring to torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.
  • Replace the wheel and tighten lug nuts in a star pattern for even distribution.
6. Lower the Vehicle
