1. Preparation

• Gather tools and necessary parts for the repair.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
• Wear safety goggles and gloves.

2. Raise the Vehicle

• Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle.
• Secure with jack stands to ensure safety.

3. Remove Wheel

• Use a socket set to remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
• Inspect the brake components visually.

4. Inspect and Replace Brake Rotors

• Check the rotor surfaces for warping or damage.
  • If warped, proceed to replace:
    • Remove caliper bolts using a socket set.
    • Lift the caliper off and hang it using a wire hook or bungee cord (do not let it dangle on the brake line).
    • Remove the rotor retaining screws if applicable.
    • Slide off the old rotor.
    • Install the new rotor, ensuring it is seated properly.
    • Reattach the caliper and torque bolts to manufacturer specifications (typically around 30-40 Nm, check specific values).

5. Replace Brake Pads

• Remove old brake pads from the caliper bracket.
• Clean the caliper bracket and apply brake grease to the contact points.
• Install new brake pads, ensuring proper orientation.
• Reassemble caliper over new pads and torque bolts.

6. Reassemble and Lower Vehicle

• Reinstall the wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
• Lower the vehicle from jack stands and fully tighten lug nuts in a star pattern to the manufacturer’s specified torque (usually 100-120 Nm).
