Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the parking brake is engaged.
  • Wear safety gloves to protect your hands.
2. Loosen Lug Nuts
  • Using a lug wrench, slightly loosen the lug nuts of the flat tire while the tire is still on the ground.
  • Do not remove them completely yet.
3. Lift the Vehicle
  • Place a hydraulic jack under the vehicle's jacking point specified in the owner’s manual.
  • Raise the vehicle until the tire is off the ground.
4. Remove the Flat Tire
  • Remove the loosened lug nuts completely and place them in a safe location.
  • Carefully take off the flat tire and set it aside.
5. Inspect and Repair or Replace
  • For Repair: If the tire has a puncture, use a tire repair kit to seal small punctures. Insert the plug into the puncture hole and trim excess material.
  • For Replacement: If the tire is damaged beyond repair, install the spare tire or a new tire.
6. Reinstall the Tire
  • Place the repaired or new tire onto the wheel hub.
  • Hand-tighten the lug nuts onto the wheel bolts.
7. Lower the Vehicle
  • Carefully lower the vehicle back to the ground using the hydraulic jack.
  • Once the vehicle is stable, fully tighten the lug nuts in a crisscross pattern to ensure even pressure. Torque to the manufacturer's specification (typically around 80-100 ft-lbs).
8. Check Tire Pressure
  • Inflate the tire to the recommended PSI using an air compressor.
  • Recheck the tire pressure with a gauge to confirm it is correct.
