Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather Tools Needed:
    • Flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool
    • New cabin air filter
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is turned off and parked on a level surface.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any items inside.
  • Locate the glove compartment retention stops and gently press in to allow the glove compartment to swing down completely.
  • Carefully detach the access cover for the cabin air filter, which is usually located behind the glove compartment. Use a flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool to pry it open if necessary.

  • Inspect the old filter for signs of wear, dirt, and debris.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is oriented correctly, following any indicated airflow direction arrows on the filter.
  • Slide the new filter into the housing until it is securely in place.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Replace the access cover by snapping it back into place.
  • Lift the glove compartment back into its original position and reattach the retention stops.
  • Ensure that the glove compartment closes smoothly and securely.
