Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials:
    • Socket set
    • Multimeter
    • Replacement bulbs (if necessary)
    • Electrical contact cleaner
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely with the engine off.
2. Remove Headlight Assembly
  • Open the hood of the vehicle.
  • Locate the screws or clips securing the headlight assembly.
  • Using a socket wrench, carefully remove the screws or clips.
  • Gently pull the headlight assembly out of its housing, taking care not to damage any connectors.
3. Inspect and Replace Bulbs
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight.
  • Remove the bulb by twisting it counterclockwise.
  • Inspect the bulb for any signs of damage. If the filament is broken or the glass is discolored, replace the bulb with a new one.
  • Insert the new bulb by pushing it into the socket and twisting it clockwise to secure it.
4. Clean and Reconnect
  • Use electrical contact cleaner to clean the connectors on the wiring harness and headlight assembly.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness to the back of the headlight assembly securely.
5. Reinstall Headlight Assembly
  • Carefully place the headlight assembly back into its housing.
  • Align it properly and secure it using the screws or clips previously removed.
  • Ensure that the assembly is firmly in place and does not move.
6. Test the Headlights
  • Turn on the vehicle and test the headlights to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Check both low and high beam settings to confirm proper operation.
