Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts before starting the replacement.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical issues.
2. Remove Underbody Covers (if applicable)
  • Use a socket set to unbolt any underbody covers obstructing access to the driveshaft.
  • Carefully remove the covers and set them aside.
3. Disconnect the Driveshaft
  • Tools Required: Socket set, breaker bar.
  • Remove the bolts connecting the driveshaft to the differential and transmission using the socket set.
  • Support the driveshaft with one hand while removing the last bolt to prevent it from dropping.
4. Install New Driveshaft
  • Align the new driveshaft with the differential and transmission mounting points.
  • Hand-tighten the bolts initially, then use a torque wrench to tighten them to the manufacturer’s specifications (refer to service manual for torque values).
5. Reinstall Underbody Covers
  • Reattach any underbody covers removed during the process, using the socket set to secure them properly.
6. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal, ensuring it is secured tightly.
7. Final Check
  • Lower the vehicle and check the driveshaft alignment before the test drive.
