Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and the engine is turned on.
  • Gather any necessary tools such as a cellphone or tablet to refer to the Tesla support page if needed.
2. Perform a Soft Reset
  1. Press and hold both the scroll wheels on the steering wheel simultaneously.
  2. Keep holding the scroll wheels for approximately 10 seconds until the screen goes black.
  3. Release the scroll wheels once the Tesla logo appears on the screen.
  4. Wait for the infotainment system to reboot; this may take a minute.
3. Perform a Hard Reset (if Soft Reset fails)
  1. Turn off the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal and selecting "Shift to Park."
  2. Exit the car and lock it using the key fob or mobile app.
  3. Wait for about 2-3 minutes to allow the system to power down completely.
  4. Re-enter the vehicle and unlock it.
