Solution
1. Preparation

2. Inspect and Replace VVT Solenoid
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, ratchet, oil catch pan.

  • Locate the VVT solenoid on the engine.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid.
  • Remove the mounting bolts using a socket set, and carefully take out the solenoid.
  • Inspect the solenoid for debris or damage. Replace if necessary.
  • Install the new VVT solenoid, ensuring it is seated properly.
  • Torque the solenoid mounting bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications.
3. Change Engine Oil and Filter
  • Tools Required: Oil filter wrench, funnel, oil catch pan, socket set.
  • Drain the engine oil by removing the drain plug and allowing it to fully drain into an oil catch pan.
