Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, fuel pressure gauge, safety glasses, gloves.
  • Safety Warnings: Disconnect the battery before working on electrical systems and relieve fuel system pressure before removal.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Remove any necessary components obstructing the engine cover.
  • Unscrew the bolts securing the engine cover using a socket set.
  • Carefully lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Remove Fuel Rail and Injectors
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench.
  • Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail using a line disconnect tool.
  • Unplug the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  • Unscrew the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold.
  • Carefully lift the fuel rail, which will pull the injectors out of the manifold.
4. Inspect and Clean
  • Remove the old fuel injectors from the fuel rail.
  • Inspect the injector O-rings and replace them if damaged.
  • Clean the injector ports in the fuel rail and intake manifold using a carburetor cleaner to remove any carbon buildup.
5. Install New Injectors
  • Parts Required: Replacement fuel injectors, new O-rings.
  • Lubricate the new O-rings with clean engine oil to ensure a proper seal.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail and secure them in place.
  • Reattach the fuel rail to the intake manifold and torque the bolts to manufacturer's specifications.
6. Reconnect Fuel Line and Electrical Connectors
  • Reconnect the fuel line to the fuel rail.
  • Plug in the electrical connectors to each injector.
  • Replace any components that were removed to access the engine cover.
7. Reinstall Engine Cover
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with the bolts removed earlier.
