Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver, soft cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked and the key fob is removed from any keychain or attachments for easier handling.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam on the edge of the key fob.
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently insert into the seam and twist to pry the two halves of the fob apart. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the fob.
3. Remove Old Battery
  • Once the fob is open, locate the battery compartment.
  • Note the orientation of the existing battery (positive and negative sides).
  • Carefully remove the old battery by pushing it out using the flathead screwdriver or your fingers.
4. Install New Battery
  • Insert the new battery into the compartment, ensuring it matches the orientation of the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Press firmly until the battery clicks into place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob

  • Avoid pressing too hard to prevent damage to the internal components.
