Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Wear safety gloves and goggles.
2. Remove the Wheel
  • Use a jack to lift the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the lug nuts using a socket wrench and take off the wheel.
3. Remove the Old Shock Absorber
  • Locate the upper mounting bolts of the shock absorber and remove them using a socket wrench.
  • Remove the lower mounting bolt from the shock and take out the shock absorber.
  • Inspect the upper and lower mounting points for wear and replace if necessary.
4. Install the New Shock Absorber
  • Position the new shock absorber in place.
  • Secure the lower mounting bolt first and torque it to the manufacturer's specifications (refer to the service manual for exact torque values).
  • Attach the upper mounting bolts and tighten them securely.
5. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall the wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle and remove the jack stands.
  • Torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Conduct a test drive to ensure proper functionality and comfort.
