Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: socket set, oil pressure gauge, OBD-II scanner, replacement oil and filter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off and cool.
2. Check and Top Off Oil
  • Remove the oil dipstick and wipe it clean.
  • Reinsert the dipstick and remove it again to check the oil level.
  • If low, add the appropriate oil type as specified in the owner's manual until the level is correct.
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Locate the oil filter and remove it using an oil filter wrench.
  • Prepare the new oil filter by applying a small amount of new oil to the rubber gasket.
  • Install the new oil filter by hand, then tighten it according to manufacturer specifications (usually about 3/4 turn after it contacts the base).
4. Change Engine Oil
  • Drain the old oil by removing the oil drain plug (ensure to have a drain pan underneath).
  • Allow the oil to drain completely and reinstall the drain plug with the specified torque.
  • Fill the engine with new oil using a funnel, based on the manufacturer's recommended capacity.
5. Test Oil Pressure
  • Install a mechanical oil pressure gauge at the oil pressure sender location.
  • Start the engine and observe the oil pressure readings.
  • If pressure is still low, further investigation into the oil pump and engine internals may be necessary.
