Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools:
    • None required for soft reset
    • Socket set (if performing hard reset)
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the parking brake is engaged.
2. Soft Reset
  • Hold down the two scroll wheels on the steering wheel simultaneously.
  • Wait for the touchscreen to turn black and the Tesla logo to appear.
  • Release the scroll wheels once the logo appears. The system will reboot.
3. Hard Reset (if soft reset fails)
  • Ensure Safety: Disconnect the vehicle from any charging source.
  • Open the front trunk (frunk) and locate the 12V battery.
  • Use a socket set to remove the negative terminal of the 12V battery.
  • Wait for at least 5 minutes to ensure all systems are fully powered down.
  • Reconnect the negative terminal securely.
  • Close the frunk and check if the vehicle operates normally.
