Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe area and on level ground.
  • Disconnect the vehicle from any charging station.
  • Gather tools and personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles).
2. Check and Refill Coolant
  • Locate the coolant reservoir for the battery cooling system.
  • If low, use Tesla-approved coolant (e.g., Tesla Model S coolant).
  • Carefully remove the reservoir cap and fill to the indicated level.
  • Replace the cap securely after refilling.
3. Inspect and Replace Coolant Pump (if faulty)
  • Access the electric coolant pump located near the battery pack.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the pump.
  • Remove the mounting bolts using a socket set and take out the pump.
  • Replace with a new electric coolant pump and secure with bolts.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Flush and Replace Coolant (if contaminated)
  • Drain the existing coolant from the system using the drain valve.
  • Use distilled water to flush the system, running the pump briefly to circulate.
  • Drain the distilled water completely.
  • Refill with Tesla-approved coolant as described in Step 2.
5. Final System Check
  • Start the vehicle and allow it to reach operating temperature.
  • Monitor the coolant level and ensure there are no leaks.
  • Listen for normal operation of the coolant pump and fans.
