Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe location.
  • Keep the vehicle in “Park” mode.
  • Make sure the vehicle is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
2. Perform a Soft Reset
  1. Press and hold both scroll wheels on the steering wheel until the touchscreen turns off (approximately 10 seconds).
  2. Release the scroll wheels once the Tesla logo appears on the screen.
  3. Wait for the system to reboot completely, which may take a minute.
3. Perform a Hard Reset (if soft reset doesn't work)
  1. Open the front trunk (frunk) and disconnect the 12V battery:
    • Use a socket set to remove the battery cover.
    • Disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal.
  2. Wait for approximately 5-10 minutes to allow the system to reset.
  3. Reconnect the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal followed by the negative terminal.
  4. Replace the battery cover and ensure it is secured properly.
4. Check for Updates Post-Reset
  1. Go to "Software" in the vehicle's settings.
  2. Check for any new updates and install if necessary.
