Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe environment with adequate space to work.
  • Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal to prevent any electrical short.
2. Check and Replace the 12V Battery
  • Tools Required: Socket set, multimeter, wrenches, battery terminal cleaner.
  • Inspect the 12V battery for any signs of swelling or leakage.
  • If the voltage is low or the battery is damaged:
    1. Remove the negative terminal first using the socket set.
    2. Remove the positive terminal next.
    3. Unfasten the battery hold-down bracket using appropriate tools.
    4. Carefully lift the battery out of the tray.
    5. Install the new battery in reverse order (positive first, then negative).
    6. Tighten the battery terminals securely.
    7. Reconnect the negative terminal last.
3. Check the Main Battery Contactors
  • Tools Required: Multimeter, socket set.
  • After replacing the 12V battery, reconnect the battery and check the contactor:
    1. Use the multimeter to ensure the contactor is receiving power.
    2. If there is no power, inspect the wiring and connections leading to the contactor.
    3. If the contactor is faulty, replace it by unbolting it from the vehicle and installing a new one.
