Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and components.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and on level ground.
  • Disconnect the Tesla from any charging sources.
2. Check Key Fob Battery
  • Remove the key fob from its housing.
  • Replace the battery with a new CR2032 coin cell battery.
  • Reassemble the key fob and test its functionality.
3. Jump-Start the Vehicle
  • Locate the jump-start terminals under the front trunk.
  • Connect a compatible jump starter or another vehicle with jumper cables:
    • Red cable to the positive (+) terminal.
    • Black cable to the negative (-) terminal.
  • Attempt to start the vehicle after a few minutes of charging.
4. Inspect Main Battery and 12V Battery
  • Use a multimeter to check the voltage of the main battery (should be above 12.5V).
  • If low, connect to a Tesla Supercharger or Level 2 charger to recharge.
  • Check the 12V battery voltage (should be above 12.6V). If low, consider replacing the 12V battery:
    • Remove the cover in the front trunk.
    • Disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal.
    • Remove the old battery and install the new one in reverse order.
