Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Tools Required:
    • OBD-II scanner
    • Multimeter
    • Socket set
    • Screwdriver set
  • Parts Required:
    • Replacement headlight bulbs (if needed)
    • Headlight fuses (if blown)
    • Headlight control module (if faulty)
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Disconnect the battery before starting work on electrical components.
2. Replace Headlight Bulbs
  1. Open the front hood to access the headlight assembly.
  2. Remove the headlight housing by unscrewing the retaining screws.
  3. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight.
  4. Remove the old headlight bulb by turning it counterclockwise.
  5. Install the new headlight bulb by securing it clockwise.
  6. Reconnect the wiring harness and reassemble the headlight housing.
3. Check and Replace Fuses
  1. Locate the fuse box; it is usually found under the dashboard or in the frunk.
  2. Identify the headlight fuse using the diagram on the fuse box cover.
  3. Remove the fuse using a fuse puller or pliers.
  4. Inspect the fuse; if the filament is broken, replace it with a new one of the same amperage.
  5. Reinstall the fuse and close the fuse box.
4. Inspect and Test Electrical Connections
  1. Check all wiring connections for corrosion or damage.
  2. Use a multimeter to test for continuity in the wiring harness leading to the headlight.
  3. Repair or replace any damaged wiring as needed.
5. Test and Replace Headlight Control Module
  1. Use the OBD-II scanner to check for any fault codes related to the headlight system.
  2. If the control module is faulty, disconnect the battery.
  3. Remove the control module from its mounting location.
  4. Install the new control module and secure it in place.
  5. Reconnect the battery and clear any fault codes using the OBD-II scanner.
