Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Oil filter wrench
    • Socket set
    • Oil drain pan
    • Funnel
    • Rags or paper towels
  • Parts Required:
    • New oil filter
    • New engine oil (5W-20 or 0W-20, depending on the engine)
2. Drain the Old Oil
  • Place the oil drain pan underneath the oil pan.
  • Use a socket to carefully remove the oil drain plug.
  • Allow the oil to drain completely into the pan for several minutes.
  • After draining, reinstall and tighten the drain plug to the specified torque (approximately 27 ft-lbs).
3. Replace the Oil Filter
  • Locate the oil filter; use the oil filter wrench to unscrew it.
  • Prepare the new oil filter by applying a thin layer of new oil to the rubber gasket.
  • Install the new oil filter by hand, making sure it is snug but not over-tightened.
4. Add New Oil
  • Use a funnel to pour the new engine oil into the oil filler cap.
  • Check the owner’s manual for the correct oil capacity (usually around 4.5 to 5 quarts).
  • Replace the oil filler cap securely.
5. Check Oil Level
  • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
  • Turn off the engine and wait a minute for the oil to settle.
  • Use the dipstick to check the oil level, adding more oil if necessary.
