Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery compatible with the Toyota Camry key fob (typically CR2032).
  • Work in a well-lit area to avoid losing small parts.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a flathead screwdriver or a coin to gently pry apart the key fob at the seam.
  • Carefully insert the screwdriver or coin into the slot and twist to separate the two halves of the fob.
  • Take care not to damage the plastic casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Locate the battery inside the key fob. Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  • Use your fingers or a plastic tool to gently lift the battery out of its compartment.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new battery into the compartment, ensuring the positive side is facing the same direction as the old battery.
  • Press down gently until the battery is seated firmly in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until you hear a click, indicating they are securely closed.
  • Ensure there are no gaps around the edges of the fob.
