Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any electrical issues.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the filter housing:
    • Open the glove compartment and remove any items stored inside.
  2. Remove the glove compartment:
    • Push in the sides of the glove compartment to release the stops and lower it down.
    • Disconnect the damper arm (if equipped) by pulling it off the hinge.
  3. Open the filter cover:
    • Locate the cabin air filter cover; it may have clips or screws securing it. Release the clips or remove the screws to access the filter.
3. Replace the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Remove the old filter:
    • Pull the old cabin air filter straight out of the housing. Note its orientation for the new filter.
  2. Install the new filter:
    • Insert the new cabin air filter in the same orientation as the old one. Ensure that it fits snugly in the housing.
4. Reassemble
  1. Reinstall the filter cover:
    • Secure the filter cover back in place by reattaching the clips or screws.
  2. Reattach the glove compartment:
    • Lift the glove compartment back into position, reconnect the damper arm if applicable, and ensure it clicks into place.
  3. Reconnect the battery:
    • Reconnect the negative battery terminal securely.
