Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Wear safety goggles and gloves for protection.
2. Gather Tools and Parts
  • Tools Required:

    • Brake bleeder kit or clear tubing
    • 10mm or 12mm wrench (depending on brake bleeder screw size)
    • Brake fluid (DOT 3 or DOT 4, as specified in the owner's manual)
    • Funnel
    • Rags or paper towels
  • Parts Required:

    • New brake fluid (ensure it meets the required specification)
3. Remove Old Brake Fluid
  1. Open the hood and locate the brake fluid reservoir.
  2. Use a turkey baster or siphon to remove the old brake fluid from the reservoir.
  3. Wipe the inside of the reservoir with a clean rag to remove any residue.
4. Bleed the Brakes
  1. Start at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder (right rear).
  2. Attach the brake bleeder kit or clear tubing to the bleeder screw on the brake caliper.
  3. Place the other end of the tubing into a container to catch old fluid.
  4. Have an assistant pump the brake pedal several times and hold it down.
  5. Open the bleeder screw with the wrench to release fluid and air.
  6. Close the bleeder screw before your assistant releases the brake pedal.
  7. Repeat the process until clear brake fluid flows without air bubbles (about 2-3 cycles), then move to the next wheel (left rear, right front, left front).
5. Refill the Brake Fluid Reservoir
  1. After bleeding all four brakes, refill the brake fluid reservoir to the "MAX" line with new brake fluid.
  2. Ensure the cap is securely replaced.
6. Final Checks
  1. Start the engine and press the brake pedal to check for firmness.
  2. Inspect all bleeder screws for leaks and ensure they are tight.
