Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: OBD-II scanner, socket set, funnel, and a clean cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Check Transmission Fluid Level
  • Start the engine and let it idle until it reaches normal operating temperature.
  • Shift the transmission through all gears, then back to "Park."
  • Locate the transmission dipstick (if equipped) and remove it. Clean it with a cloth, reinsert, and remove again to check the fluid level.
  • If low, add the appropriate transmission fluid through the dipstick tube using a funnel.
3. Reset the Transmission Fluid Light
  • Turn off the engine.
  • Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Press the gas pedal three times within five seconds.
  • Turn the ignition off, then start the engine. The transmission fluid light should be reset.
4. Verify Fluid Quality
  • If the fluid appears dark or smells burnt, it may need replacing.
  • If necessary, drain and replace the transmission fluid and filter according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
