Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flat screwdriver, multimeter, and a replacement battery (CR2032 recommended).
  • Ensure you have access to the vehicle and are in a well-lit area.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flat screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Carefully remove the old battery from the fob's battery compartment.
  3. Use a multimeter to check if the old battery is dead. If it reads below 3 volts, it needs replacement.
  4. Insert the new battery into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  5. Snap the fob casing back together until it clicks securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit in the driver's seat with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Turn the key to "Off" and back to "On" five times within 10 seconds.
  4. The door locks should cycle to indicate the car is in programming mode.
  5. Press and hold the "Lock" button on the fob for approximately 15 seconds to program it.
  6. Turn the ignition to "Off" to exit programming mode.
