Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts, ensuring the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Check Engine Oil Level
  • Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it fully, and then remove it to check the oil level.
  • If low, add the appropriate type of oil (SAE 0W-20 or 5W-20) as specified in the owner's manual.
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old filter.
  • Apply a thin layer of new oil on the rubber O-ring of the new filter.
  • Install the new filter by hand until snug, then tighten it an additional 3/4 turn.
4. Oil Change (if oil is dirty or low)
  • Drain the old oil using a socket wrench to remove the drain plug. Allow the oil to fully drain into a container.
  • Replace the drain plug, tightening to 30 ft-lbs torque specification.
  • Refill the engine with new oil through the oil filler cap.
5. Check and Replace Oil Pressure Sending Unit (if pressure is still low)
  • Locate the oil pressure sending unit, usually near the oil filter.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and use a socket wrench to remove the sending unit.
  • Install the new oil pressure sending unit and reconnect the electrical connector.
6. Final Check
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and allow it to idle; observe the oil pressure light for any changes.
