Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a flashlight, clean cloth, and safety gloves (optional).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
2. Inspect Coolant Reservoir
  1. Locate the coolant reservoir on the driver's side of the engine bay.
  2. Use a flashlight if needed to get a clear view of the coolant level.
  3. Check the coolant level against the "MIN" and "MAX" markings on the side of the reservoir.
  4. If the coolant is below the "MIN" mark, it needs to be topped off.
3. Adding Coolant (if necessary)
  1. Remove the coolant reservoir cap by turning it counterclockwise.
  2. Using a funnel, slowly add the appropriate coolant mixture (Toyota Type 50/50 pre-mixed coolant or equivalent) until it reaches the "MAX" line.
  3. Replace the reservoir cap securely by turning it clockwise until it clicks.
  4. Clean up any spills to avoid damage to engine components or the environment.
4. Check for Leaks
  1. After adding coolant, inspect the hoses and reservoir for any signs of leaks.
  2. Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature while monitoring the coolant level.
