Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Change Engine Oil and Filter

• Tools Required: Oil filter wrench, socket set, oil catch pan.
• Drain the old engine oil using the catch pan.
• Replace the oil filter with a new one.
• Refill the engine with fresh oil that meets the manufacturer’s specifications.

3. Inspect and Replace VVT Oil Control Valve

• Tools Required: Socket set, wrench set, torque wrench.
• Locate the VVT oil control valve (usually near the camshaft).
• Remove the electrical connector from the valve.
• Unbolt and take out the old VVT oil control valve.
• Install the new VVT oil control valve, making sure to torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
