Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools, such as a flathead screwdriver (if needed for access).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the ignition off.
2. Turn on Ignition
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  • Ensure that all electrical accessories are turned off.
3. Reset the Odometer
  • Check the instrument cluster to confirm the odometer is displayed (not the trip meter).
  • If the trip meter is displayed, press the trip meter reset button until the odometer is shown.
4. Reset Maintenance Light
  • With the odometer displayed, turn the ignition off.
  • Press and hold the trip meter reset button.
  • While holding the button, turn the ignition back to the "ON" position.
  • Continue holding the button until the maintenance light blinks and then turns off, usually within 10 seconds.
5. Finalize the Process
  • Release the trip meter reset button.
  • Turn the ignition off and then back on to verify that the maintenance light is no longer illuminated.
