Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts or shocks.
2. Replace Faulty Wheel Speed Sensors
  1. Identify which wheel speed sensor is faulty based on diagnostic trouble codes.
  2. Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  3. Remove the wheel corresponding to the faulty sensor.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wheel speed sensor.
  5. Remove the mounting bolt(s) securing the sensor and carefully extract the old sensor from its position.
  6. Install the new wheel speed sensor into the mounting hole and secure it with the bolt(s).
  7. Reconnect the electrical connector.
3. Repair or Replace ABS Control Module
  1. If the ABS control module is determined to be faulty, locate the module, usually found near the brake booster or under the hood.
  2. Disconnect the battery again for safety.
  3. Remove the wiring harness connected to the ABS control module.
  4. Unbolt and remove the ABS module from its mount.
  5. Install the new ABS control module and secure it with bolts.
  6. Reconnect the wiring harness and battery.
4. Reset ABS Light
  1. Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.
  2. Use the OBD-II scanner to clear any stored ABS trouble codes.
  3. Perform a test drive to ensure the ABS light does not reappear.
