1. Preparation

2. Replace Worn Piston Rings

• Remove the cylinder head:
  • Drain the coolant and remove the intake and exhaust manifolds.
  • Remove the cylinder head bolts using a torque wrench, following the manufacturer’s sequence.
• Remove the pistons:
  • Remove the oil pan and connecting rod caps.
  • Push the pistons out of the cylinders.
• Replace the piston rings:
  • Remove old rings and install new ones, ensuring proper orientation.
• Reassemble:
  • Reinstall the pistons, cylinder head, and manifolds in reverse order. Torque all fasteners to specified values.

3. Replace Valve Seals

• Remove the valve cover:
  • Unscrew the bolts and gently lift the cover.
• Remove the springs:
  • Use a valve spring compressor to remove the springs and retainers.
• Replace valve seals:
