1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, new key fob battery (CR2032), and a multimeter (optional).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure location.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Carefully separate the two halves without damaging the internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  • Reassemble the key fob by snapping the two halves back together.
4. Test the Key Fob
